In South Africa, sentimental spending saw an increase of over 60% since 2015. This tells us that South Africans are a lovable bunch that really enjoys spoiling those they love.

The same study from the ‘Mastercard Love Index’ also showed us that South Africans love dining out for date night. In fact, it is one of the most popular activities for locals.

South Africans start planning and shopping around from the 11th of February and online purchases on Valentine’s Day grew by 99% in 3 years.
